Artist Profile
A former U.S. Capitol Police officer and lifelong watercolor artist, Winston is inspired by the beauty of both natural and urban landscapes, particularly Capitol Hill and DC. Winston has explored other artistic mediums but has since focused on watercolor painting, and WinstonWatercolors was born. His subject matter primarily depicts city architecture and ocean/landscapes, inspired largely by Winston's childhood as well as more recently his experience as a Capitol police officer- Winston's recent series draws upon his experience defending the Capitol during the attack on January 6th, 2021 where he was brutally assaulted.
